Russell Urquhart was convicted of driving while intoxicated. The conviction was affirmed on direct appeal. See Urquhart v. State, 128 S.W.3d 701 (Tex. App.-El Paso 2003, pet. refd). Appellant later filed an application for writ of habeas corpus asserting he received ineffective assistance of counsel at trial. See Tex. Code Crim. Proc. Ann. art. 11.072 (Vernon 2005). Following a hearing, the trial court denied appellant the relief he sought. In his sole issue, appellant asserts the trial court erred in denying him relief. We affirm the trial courts order.
